Lifetime Members at Goal Weight - We are living the difference!
Hello.  I am Nancy Rebar, and I attend Wayne's Wednesday night meeting in Springfield.  I joined Weight Watchers for the third time in October 1998.  Would you believe I saw my fat photo in August, and waited that long to join!  I lost 38 pounds on the program.  It took me 14 months.

I am now helping my daughter reach her Weight Watchers goal weight.  We prepare delicious recipes from our collection of eight Weight Watchers cookbooks - Cream of the Crop is the best.  My husband of 35 years, loves the recipes -- he doesn't have a weight challenge.

Wayne is truly an inspiration! Go to his meetings.
I am Marcy Jacomet. I started to put on weight after I finished chemotherapy for breast cancer.  The drugs, along with the Tamoxifin as followup, and an 'any excuse to eat' attitude, had me tipping the scales at 170. It took seeing myself fat in Christmas pictures, and seeing the Weight Watchers successes at the school where I work, to convince me that Weight Watchers was the way to go.

I joined and got myself into a great routine.  In a matter of 4 months, I had taken off over 30 pounds.  I was cured!  I started to miss weekly meetings and stop writing down what I was eating.... Well,  13 pounds crept back fast.  So, what did I do?  I went back to meetings, and  I wrote down what I ate.  I am now at my goal of weight of 140 pounds.

My new eating habits have become a way of life for me.  I think about what I am eating and why.  When my leader told me that it "will become an every day thing for you, and you will be counting points for the rest of your life...,"  I thought to myself, "sure... better yet you are crazy."

Now that I am on program for 1-1/2 years, I know that this is the truth!

I want to thank my husband for his support.  Since he retired, he has taken over the duties of cooking dinner.  He has learned to cook less.  We now share a steak (he eats 3/4 and I eat the 1/4).  He
also does the grocery shopping -- and that is a big change within itself.  He uses my 1-2-3 Points Finder when shopping, and looks for low point items.

If you want it to work, it will work.  As everything in life is, you have to work for what you want.  When I have a weak day, I look at the old fat photos and say "never again."  It really helps me.  P.S. Buying clothes in a smaller size is always fun!
